Parent Volunteer Requirement
Volunteers are necessary for the meets and ensures that the meets run smoothly and on time. Each family is required to provide one person to volunteer for ½ of a meet at 6 swim meets or 3 whole meets. The volunteer assignments are scheduled on a first-come basis. If you are unable to sign up for volunteering for any reason or will be unable to make a meet you signed up to work, please contact the volunteer coordinator. Sign-ups are posted on the SwimTopia website or App next to where you register your swimmer for meets.
Prize!: Once you or someone in your family has completed all required volunteer assignments, your name will go into a drawing for a FREE 2027 BLANCHETTE BARRACUDA REGISTRATION. We will draw 2 winners at the end of the season at the End of Year Party (you do not need to be present to win). *In addition, your name will be entered again for every extra volunteer assignment you do after you have completed all 6 required assignments

Swimmer Check-in Table |
Will hand out index cards to swimmers as you check them in to the meet. Please get to the pool by 5:15 PM. Get the box of cards from Coach GraceAnne or Shanna Fugina (the volunteer coordinator). |
Stroke Judge |
Observe swimmers in each event and record any swimming stroke rule violations. This job requires completion of stroke judge training and pre-approval of the volunteer coordinator. If you are interested in being a stroke judge please talk to the volunteer coordinator or Coach GraceAnne about the training. |
| Bullpen | Helps line up swimmers in the bullpen area and get them to the correct lanes and heats on deck and to the blocks |
| Timer | Uses provided stopwatches to keep times for swimmers in an assigned lane and writes time on timer sheets |
| Runner | Takes the completed time sheets from the timers to the Data Entry table |
Data Entry |
Organizes time sheets as they arrive at the results table. They will work with the runners to ensure that all results sheets are received and in order before passing them to the Data Entry Lead. Data Entry lead will input the results into swimtopia and score the events. |
| Ribbons | Attaches labels to ribbons and sorts them into the swimmers folders the practice after the meet (for parents with swimmers in 1st or 2nd practice) |
| Clean Up Crew | Clean up the pool area after the meet is over- put chairs back, tables away, pick up trash, ect. |
